Cinnamon Tea for Late Menstruation

Cinnamon tea stimulates the contraction of the urine, which is why it is a good option to lower the delayed menstruation and also to make menstruation come in greater strength and thus lasts a few days.

The consumption of cinnamon is only indicated to advance the menstruation in 1 or 2 days or to make it descend in case of delay of less than 1 month and should therefore be avoided in case of suspected pregnancy and contraindicated during pregnancy because it can cause abortion.

Other ways to consume cinnamon, taking advantage of their properties in lowering menstruation, relieving menstrual cramps, headache, nausea, vomiting and malaise are:

Place a cinnamon stick in a cup of milk with sugar or honey;
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon in oatmeal;
Add 1 stick of cinnamon in each cup of coffee;
Eat apple and cinnamon cake, or cook an apple and add 1 cinnamon stick in the center, during the bake;
Add a little cinnamon in a bowl of plain yogurt and cereal.

Cinnamon as regularly consumed may help regulate menstruation, but when this symptom becomes frequent one should go to the gynecologist so that he can evaluate what may be altering the menstrual cycle.

Usually menstruation is very irregular in the first few years after menarche or when the woman is nearer the menopause, in this way the adolescents and the more mature women are the ones who suffer most from the delayed menstrual period.

Cinnamon can be used to regulate menstrual disorders because it reduces prostaglandin levels, increases endorphin levels and improves blood circulation, and is therefore effective in relieving the symptoms of premenstrual tension. However, for it to have the expected effect one should consume cinnamon regularly.
